Vietnam to participate in 26 films at 2023 Da Nang Asian Film Festival | QUANG NAM ONLINE NEWSPAPER

(QNO) - The first Da Nang Asian Film Festival 2023 (DANAFF 1) with the theme Asian Bridge, bringing together 36 films from the Asia- Pacific region, will take place in Da Nang City from May 9 to May 13, 2023. Vietnam has 26 participating films.

The first Da Nang Asian Film Festival 2023 is directed by the Da Nang People's Committee, chaired by the Vietnam Film Promotion and Development Association (VFDA), in coordination with the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports and domestic and foreign organizations and individuals.

DANAFF 1 will select and honor excellent films, rich in human values, with new discoveries , unique art, and encourage new talents of Asia-Pacific cinema. Thereby, widely introducing to the public 36 new films, with high value in content and art; including 10 Asian films and 20 Vietnamese films ( Those who are in the mist, Glorious Ashes, Mrs. Nu's House... )

The festival's prominent categories include the Asian Film Awards and the Vietnamese Film Awards, which will be judged by a jury of international and domestic film experts, selecting and awarding 12 official awards.

In addition, there is also the NETPAC Award for Outstanding Vietnamese Film decided by the Jury of the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema and the Audience Award for the Most Favorite Vietnamese Film voted by the audience.

The film festival will have many outstanding activities: 86 film screenings, the introduction and exchange of film crews at Le Do, CGV and Galaxy cinemas; 3 nights of outdoor film screenings at APEC Park; exchange programs between famous artists and audiences; Japanese Cinema seminar...
