From June 21 to 25, the Algiers International Fair (FIA) 2023 took place in the capital city of Algiers, Algeria. With the theme "Algeria: Vision and New Prospects", this Fair attracted the participation of nearly 640 exhibitors, including 165 foreign companies from 30 countries, including 20 national pavilions.
With a total exhibition area of nearly 25,000 m2, the Algiers International Fair is the largest annual international exhibition in Algeria and brings together businesses operating in almost all fields from agriculture , industry, services, construction to electronics, mechanics and national security. Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and other high-ranking officials of the country cut the ribbon to open this year's Fair.
Within the framework of this year's Fair, the Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria coordinated with the Vietnamese Trade Office in Algeria to open a Vietnamese booth displaying catalogues and samples of more than 30 enterprises in the fields of agricultural products, food, seafood, footwear, textiles, wooden products, plastic products, construction materials, machinery and equipment, mechanical products, etc.
The Vietnamese pavilion welcomed hundreds of business representatives from Algeria as well as other countries. Most visitors were impressed by Vietnam’s strong products such as coffee, pepper, cashew nuts, coconut rice, seafood, traditional handicrafts, etc. and wished to connect with Vietnamese exporters.
Emphasizing the significance of Vietnam's participation in the Algiers International Fair 2023, Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria Tran Quoc Khanh said that this is an opportunity to promote and introduce the image, country, people and culture of Vietnam; showing the dynamism, openness, friendliness and positivity of Vietnam to international friends, especially to the African region, where Vietnam has many traditional friends.
The new point at this year's fair is that besides introducing agricultural products in general, Vietnam also introduces some Halal products (suitable for Muslim markets) from localities such as Binh Phuoc , Vinh Long and many other localities./.
