
Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha expressed his honor and pride to visit Algeria and be welcomed by the General Secretary and some comrades in the FLN Politburo. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha said that the Vietnamese people, the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Vietnamese Government greatly admire the Algerian people's tradition of fighting for national liberation and are especially impressed with the results that Algeria has achieved in recent times, including the enhancement of Algeria's position in the international arena in general and in the region in particular. The Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine affirmed that Vietnam is very proud to have a friend and comrade who has been attached to it for a long time, willing to share and help it in Africa, Algeria.
Assessing the great prospects for promoting relations between the two Parties and two countries, the FLN General Secretary said that the two Parties have drafted and revised the cooperation program and expressed hope that this document will be signed by both sides as soon as possible to become the basis for enhancing cooperation and exchange, unifying views on issues of mutual concern. Mr. Abdelkrim Benmbarek emphasized that Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune is particularly interested in promoting relations between the two countries and the FLN believes that this is also a new driving force towards upgrading bilateral relations in all fields. The FLN General Secretary affirmed that Algerian veterans highly value relations with Vietnam and believes that the current and future generations need to continue to maintain and develop this close and good relationship.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha expressed his appreciation for the opinion of the FLN General Secretary, saying that the two sides have a good traditional relationship and it is important to preserve and spread those values to future generations in both countries. On behalf of the working delegation, on the occasion of Algeria's National Day, November 1, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha congratulated the General Secretary, the entire FLN Party and the Algerian people on the achievements in the struggle for national liberation as well as in the cause of national development today.
Previously, on the afternoon of October 27, the Communist Magazine delegation had a working session with the Algerian Minister of Veterans and Meritorious People, Mr. Abdelmalek Tacherift, at the ministry's headquarters in the capital Algiers.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Abdelmalek Tacherift expressed his pride in the very special relationship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Algeria, a relationship that has been built for a long time based on similarities, sharing, standing side by side in the struggle for national liberation and pride in the path that Vietnam has taken. Mr. Tacherift also affirmed that the two countries will work together to build, nurture and make the bilateral relationship better and better.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha shared Mr. Tacherift's opinion when he said that the two countries were on the same side in the struggle for national liberation. "The Algerian people's struggle for independence is also a typical struggle for independence in Africa and in the world, which has a very important role in the collapse of old colonialism in Africa," the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine emphasized, while affirming that Vietnam and Algeria always encourage and support each other in the cause of national liberation.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha expressed his joy at seeing both countries achieve important achievements in national development... admiring Algeria's increasingly affirming its position and important role in Africa. He also expressed his admiration for Algeria's implementation of policies towards veterans and meritorious people as well as its education of revolutionary traditions to younger generations, promoting previous traditional values in current national construction and said that Algeria's experiences and practices in this field are worth studying and referring to by Vietnam.
Minister Tacherift added that the Algerian Government and people now highly respect and honor veterans who sacrificed their lives for national independence and consider them as precious legacies that the Algerian state must pass on to the next generation. Mr. Tacherift emphasized the need to bring great spiritual value to veterans in addition to ensuring a full life for them and their families.
Algeria currently has resorts, special care areas, hospitals, and orthopedic centers dedicated to veterans or wounded soldiers. In addition, Algeria has an administrative system throughout the country ready to serve veterans, a veterans museum, and a research center with good experts and modern facilities to search for documents about veterans. In addition, there are many agencies and organizations representing veterans in all provinces of Algeria.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha said that the Vietnamese people had to go through continuous and prolonged wars, so the human loss was extremely great. Currently, Vietnam is trying to ensure good living conditions for veterans, and on the other hand, considers veterans as living examples, historical records spreading good values to the younger generation. In the context of much better conditions than before, along with studying and learning from the experiences of other countries, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha said that in the coming time, the implementation of social policies for veterans and those with meritorious services will certainly be better implemented by Vietnam.
