At the destinations, Colonel Tran Huu Ich kindly visited and shared the difficulties and losses that people and doctors are suffering due to prolonged rain and floods; at the same time, he praised the efforts and responsibility of the forces participating in rescue day and night, helping people stabilize their lives soon.
On this occasion, the City Military Command presented nearly 300 boxes of dry food, more than 200 boxes of drinking water, more than 100 boxes of milk and many other essential necessities, promptly supporting nearly 500 patients, relatives and staff, doctors and nurses at Duy Xuyen General Hospital as well as people in severely flooded areas in Xuan Phu commune.
In particular, to quickly deliver supplies to isolated areas, Colonel Tran Huu Ich directed the coordination with Viettel Da Nang to use specialized drones to transport goods, medicines and urgent necessities to people in deep flooded areas, where road vehicles cannot reach. This activity demonstrates the proactive and creative spirit of the city's armed forces in responding to natural disasters, contributing to shortening the relief time and ensuring the safety of the task force.
As the water level in many areas of the city began to recede, the Commander of the City Military Command urgently directed the armed forces to focus on cleaning and disinfecting two key hospitals, Duy Xuyen General Hospital and Dien Ban Regional General Hospital. These two medical facilities were flooded for many days, the entire campus and departments were covered with a thick layer of mud, many medical equipment were damp, posing a potential risk of contamination.

Following the direction, officers and soldiers of the city's armed forces, along with militia and self-defense forces and doctors and nurses from hospitals urgently pumped out water, cleaned up mud and soil, sprayed disinfectants in the entire affected area, and mobilized many mechanical vehicles, pumps and chemicals overnight, ensuring that medical facilities could soon resume operations to serve the people.
At the same time, the City Military Command has assigned forces, vehicles, and mobile equipment to heavily affected areas, coordinating with local authorities and people to overcome the consequences of floods, clean up the environment, and restore daily life.
Colonel Tran Huu Ich emphasized that the city's armed forces are always ready with the highest number of troops, vehicles, equipment and rescue tools, proactively supporting people to overcome the consequences, clean up the environment, restore houses, schools and public works immediately after the water recedes; at the same time, requiring units not to let people go hungry or lack clean water, ensuring absolute safety for people and property, and preparing mobile forces when new situations arise.
The Da Nang City Border Guard also deployed canoes to the isolated area of Dien Ban Tay Ward, where floodwaters rose high, isolating hundreds of households. More than 1 ton of food, drinking water and essential supplies were transported by water by soldiers to supply more than 600 households in Village 3 and Village 4.
Lieutenant Colonel Thai Nguyen Van Ha - Deputy Chief of Staff of the Da Nang City Border Guard said that, carrying out the tasks of the City Civil Defense Command, the unit sent mobile forces to the western area, especially focusing on Dien Ban Tay ward and Dai Hong Bac area, to organize the supply of necessities, food, drinking water and medicine to isolated residential areas.

Mr. Doan Van Mui, a resident of Dien Ban Tay ward, emotionally said: "There has been no relief group for the past few days, but today we finally see the army. The water level has been rising, and now we are receiving food and water, the people are very happy."
The relief gifts not only have material value but are also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping people in flooded areas to overcome difficulties. The image of army and border guards, regardless of danger, ready to rush into the flood once again affirms the tradition of "army and people are like fish and water", demonstrating the proactive spirit, responsibility and affection of the Da Nang armed forces in difficult days.
