Time Out magazine (UK) has just announced a list of the 20 most ideal winter destinations in the world for 2025-2026, in which Vietnam appeared in the "Best for food" category, emphasizing the special appeal of its diverse and accessible cuisine.
According to Time Out, Vietnam is a destination where tourists "can eat well everywhere", from street stalls to high-end restaurants, with reasonable prices and unforgettable flavors. Northern winter, with temperatures of 12-15°C, is considered the ideal time to enjoy pho, bun thang, bun moc or hot sweet soups - dishes that have been introduced many times by CNN, Lonely Planet or South China Morning Post as symbols of Vietnamese cuisine .

Time Out rates the period from October to February as a good time to explore Vietnam, thanks to its pleasant climate, and more "friendly" travel and accommodation costs than many international destinations. The magazine suggests three typical itineraries: Hanoi with its old town and small jazz bars, Hoi An with its old town and cuisine, and Ho Chi Minh City with its vibrant life and coffee culture.
Vietnam's ranking among the top ideal winter destinations is considered a positive signal for the tourism industry, especially in the context of the international market increasingly paying more attention to local culinary and cultural experiences.
