On the afternoon of January 17, the Vietnamese football team returned home on flight VN614. The Golden Star warriors received a special welcome for their efforts to dedicate themselves to the flag at the AFF Cup 2022.

On the flight, Vietnam Airlines gave Coach Park Hang-seo a lifetime round-trip Business Class ticket between Korea and Vietnam for Coach Park and his wife. Mr. Park and his wife will be able to fly Vietnam Airlines' free Business Class ticket between the two countries, for life and unlimited times.

The gift is the national airline's gratitude to coach Park for leading the Vietnamese football team to success over the past years, bringing glory and victory to the country and Vietnamese football fans.

A representative of Vietnam Airlines shared: “Coach Park Hang-seo will end his leadership of the Vietnamese team after the AFF Cup 2022, but the love and respect of tens of millions of Vietnamese fans for Coach Park will last forever. Vietnam Airlines believes this will be a meaningful gift for Coach Park and his wife on future journeys connecting Korea and Vietnam.”

The national airline has had a long journey accompanying the Vietnamese football team under coach Park Hang-seo. From the U23 Asian Cup with the "battle under the white snow" in Changzhou in 2018; AFF Cup 2018 - the AFF Cup Vietnam won after exactly 10 years of waiting; ASIAD 18 of the Vietnam Olympic football team, to flights carrying the team to the AFC Asian Cup 2019, and most recently the AFF Cup 2022. Not only with football tournaments, Vietnam Airlines is also a familiar flight with Vietnamese athletes in many other major sporting events such as the SEA Games, ASEAN Para Games.
