Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Le Cong Thanh emphasized: “Plastic pollution is not only an environmental issue, but also a test of Vietnam’s ability to transition to a circular and knowledge-based economy.” He called on the whole society to take action not only to reduce single-use plastics, but also to create a green lifestyle, sustainable production and environmentally friendly technology.
Attending the event as a media companion, VIMC continues to demonstrate its responsibility as a pioneering enterprise in the maritime and shipping sector in protecting the marine environment. In recent years, VIMC has continuously promoted internal and community propaganda activities on reducing plastic in logistics and supply chains, towards green and sustainable development.
Representatives of Vietnam National Shipping Lines attended the rally.
In addition to the ceremony, the program also had exciting sideline activities such as displaying recycled products, circular economy models, giving gifts to fishermen, tourist boats and Ha Long Bay management forces. In particular, the model of "Depositing trash and withdrawing money" attracted great attention, showing creativity in connecting social responsibility with practical solutions.
Through this event, VIMC not only contributes to spreading the message of green living, but also continues to affirm its commitment to accompany community activities, for a future of harmonious development between economy and environment.
