On July 29, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha signed the decision of the Provincial People's Committee to recognize 39 products/product sets of 31 enterprises, cooperatives, and business households as typical rural industrial products at the provincial level in 2025. This is not only an honor for production establishments but also a motivation to encourage rural enterprises and business households to continue to innovate, expand scale and improve product quality.

Faced with this news, many rural industrial establishments expressed excitement and great expectations when their products were honored at the voting period, especially for those establishments receiving this title for the first time.
Ms. Vo Thi Thu Hang - Director of Thu Hang Medicinal Agricultural Products Cooperative (Tu My commune) shared: “Our facility started production in 2020, and in 2023 and 2024, we achieved OCOP certification for our products, and this year we continued to achieve provincial-level certification for outstanding rural industrial products for two products: cassava starch and turmeric starch. This is not only a testament to the quality of our products and the reputation of our brand, but also a motivation for us to boost production and improve our competitiveness.”
Ms. Hang said that in recent times, along with investing in production, the cooperative has also regularly participated in trade fairs and conferences to introduce products and find new customers. In addition, she also actively promotes products on digital platforms. Currently, the cooperative's products are present in many provinces and cities across the country, trusted by customers, so the consumption output is quite good. In 2024, the revenue of the two products of turmeric and cassava starch will reach more than 1 billion VND. Currently, the cooperative is developing a plan to coordinate with people to expand the raw material growing area and launch new products to expand the production scale.


Similarly, Hoang Tung fish sauce production facility (Yen Hoa commune) also received the title with great pride when for the first time Hoa Tung fish sauce product was recognized as a typical rural industrial product at the provincial level.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa - the owner of the establishment expressed: "This title is a worthy recognition for our continuous efforts in maintaining product quality, improving technology and building the brand of traditional local fish sauce products. This is also an opportunity for us to continue to affirm our position in the market, create trust for consumers and encourage us to continue investing in production to develop the market."

For establishments that have been recognized many times as typical rural industrial products at all levels, continuing to receive this title further affirms the quality and reputation of the product and enhances the brand in the market.
According to Ms. Le Thi Kim Hoa - Deputy Director of An Hong Joint Stock Company (Nghi Xuan commune), in recent years, many of the company's products have been certified as typical rural industrial products such as product sets: table tops, chair tops, chair backrests for primary school students; primary school desk and chair sets; student desk top panels; children's folding cribs... "After being recognized as typical rural industrial products at all levels, we have been supported by the Department of Industry and Trade to participate in trade promotion events, thanks to which, the consumer market has developed better and better. This year, we continue to be honored as a typical rural industrial product at the provincial level for the product of conference chairs with lathe legs. This is a great source of pride for the enterprise", Ms. Hoa shared.

Rural industrial development plays an important role in industrial development, small-scale industry, craft villages, promoting socio -economic development and creating jobs, increasing income for rural workers. In recent times, rural industry in Ha Tinh has changed and developed strongly when production establishments focused on investing in machinery and equipment, upgrading production scale, improving quality, bringing traditional products into commodity products for the domestic market and export. Currently, many key local products have gradually affirmed their brands and dominated the market.
According to information from the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion (Department of Industry and Trade), from 2011 to present, the whole province has had 190 products recognized as typical rural industrial products at the provincial level; 50 products at the regional level and 15 products at the national level. Through previous voting periods, it has been shown that the voting and honoring of typical products has created a lever to encourage establishments to make the most of the strengths of traditional industries combined with the application of advanced production technology to create many high-value products.


Mr. Truong Van Thuan - Deputy Director in charge of the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion said: The selection of typical rural industrial products is held periodically every 2 years to discover and honor products with good quality and development potential. Thereby, encouraging establishments to improve their competitiveness, improve quality, improve designs, meet the tastes of consumers in and outside the province, access new technology and expand the consumption market. In the coming time, the unit will continue to accompany and support establishments recognized as typical products through industrial promotion programs, trade promotion, digital transformation and brand development. The goal is to build rural products that can stand firm in the market, contributing to the development of the local economy.
