After 120 minutes of the literature exam, more than 76,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City completed the first exam in the 10th grade entrance exam.

The bell rang signaling 15 minutes left for the exam, Ms. Thuy Khanh (Binh Thanh District) stood outside the school gate, constantly looking inside, her eyes worried, constantly clasping her hands in prayer.

"My daughter often forgets small details, so I'm very worried. The closer it gets to the exam submission time, the more worried I become. I can only stand outside and pray that my daughter will do well on the exam," Khanh said emotionally.

As the school gate opened, a female student shouted loudly, attracting the attention of many people: "Mom! I did it!", then quickly ran towards her mother who was in the crowd. That moment made many parents breathe a sigh of relief, everyone predicted that the essay topic was within the candidate's ability.

Ms. Minh Nguyen (Tan Binh district), while hugging her daughter, said: "If you can do well in the first exam, you will be able to do well in the rest of the exams."

The mother was worried whether her daughter would do well on the exam or not.

Ms. Thuy Khanh stood outside the school gate waiting for her child.

The mother hugged her daughter and continuously congratulated her.

Seeing their daughter walk out of the exam site with a bright smile, many parents burst into tears.

Overjoyed, the mother immediately kissed her child on the cheek.

Parents jokingly call this the happy exam site.

Tuyet Anh, a student at Ha Huy Tap Secondary School (Binh Thanh District), smiled and said: I did quite well on the test. Thanks to that, I will feel less pressured in the foreign language and math exams.

At the exam site of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, most candidates said that the exam was close, emphasizing family affection and each person's journey to maturity.

"I completed the 10th grade entrance exam this year and I am also completing my journey to adulthood" - a candidate said with a smile.

At the exam site of Binh An Secondary School (District 8), mother and daughter "brave the sun", smiling brightly.

Candidates are radiant because they have completed the literature exam smoothly.

This afternoon, candidates will take the second exam - foreign language. The exam time is 90 minutes.
