VPBank supports Gia Lai province with 15 billion VND to overcome damage after storm No. 13

(Chinhphu.vn) - The successive storms in the last months of the year have severely affected the Northern and Central provinces. VPBank, as a large private bank with many contributions to social security programs, immediately stepped in with very practical support for people in areas affected by natural disasters.

At the end of October 2025, storm No. 13 swept through Gia Lai, causing serious damage in many districts, including De Gi commune. is one of the most severely affected areas. According to statistics from local authorities, 10 houses were completely collapsed, 200 houses had their roofs blown off over 70%, 432 houses had their roofs blown off from 30-70%, 525 houses had their roofs blown off under 30% along with many damages to boats, aquaculture cages, infrastructure...

On November 13, VPBank donated 15 billion VND to support affected households in Gia Lai province to focus on building and repairing houses. The houses are designed to ensure safety, high foundations to prevent flooding, solid roofs, and handed over immediately after the storm so that people can stabilize their lives and restore production.

Previously, VPBank also supported 30 billion VND for Nghe An. and 10 billion VND to support flood victims in the Northern and Central provinces , to provide necessities, construction materials and stabilize livelihoods. The support was deployed quickly, meeting the actual needs of the people.

The social security programs that VPBank implements always demonstrate acumen in identifying urgent needs of the community , aiming at practical, timely and humane impacts , from education, health, environment to emergency support after natural disasters while aiming at long-term impacts . The common point of all projects is specific, timely and widespread impacts , ensuring resources are used in the right place, at the right time, according to the actual needs of the locality. In 2025 alone, the total resources that VPBank, together with its staff and partners, contributed to social activities reached more than 63 billion VND.
