VTV and CMG announce key media cooperation program

On the afternoon of April 14, in Hanoi, Vietnam Television (VTV) and China Central Radio and Television (CMG) announced media cooperation for the 2025-2026 period, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025) and the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year.

In the spirit of long-term and effective cooperation, VTV and CMG agreed to deploy a series of outstanding communication activities in 2025-2026, notably the joint production of a series of programs on technology development, artificial intelligence, urban infrastructure and programs that comprehensively reflect the typical political , cultural and social milestones of the two countries.

Important events such as visits by high-ranking leaders of the two parties and countries, important conferences, strategic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges will be given priority to be reflected in a timely and in-depth manner. Through this, audiences of the two countries will have a realistic and vivid perspective on the process of friendly cooperation and sustainable development between Vietnam and China. The programs are broadcast on national television channels and digital platforms, ensuring wide transmission to the majority of people of the two countries.

VTV and CMG agreed to strongly promote the exchange of television content, aiming to introduce works that reflect the cultural depth, national identity and outstanding development achievements of each country. Documentaries, TV series, and special reports on history, places, people and innovation will be prioritized in the exchange plan...

A highlight of the series of cooperation activities is the art exchange program between Vietnamese and Chinese artists. To deepen the understanding of each country's culture, especially for the younger generation, VTV and CMG will jointly produce the program "Young Reporter Exchange".

Assessing the cooperation between VTV and CMG, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam - General Director of VTV stated that through cooperation projects such as documentary production, art exchange, thematic seminars and digital content cooperation - the two national television stations contribute to promoting cultural exchange, helping people of the two countries better understand each other's traditions, identities and modern achievements, thereby consolidating a solid foundation for the long-term friendship between Vietnam and China.

Sharing the same view, Mr. Than Hai Hung, General Director and Editor-in-Chief of CMG, believes that through strategic cooperation programs, it will continue to spread, enhance understanding, connect people, develop sustainably, and make practical contributions to strengthening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.
