"Turban Dance" - A bustling song of patriotism in the heart of the city
On the evening of April 30, the echoes of the art program at the Traditional Stage of Nguyen Hue Walking Street, Ho Chi Minh City, lit up in the brilliant colors and proud echoes of the art program "Turban Dance" - a special performance by the Bong Sen Traditional Music and Dance Theater.
Mr. Pham Thanh Loc - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Lotus Traditional Music and Dance Theater - was delighted to receive compliments from the audience after enjoying the meaningful art program.
This event is part of the festival series "Colors of Uncle Ho's City". Not just a performance, "Turban Dance" is also an artistic manifesto - emotional, profound and touching the hearts of thousands of audiences.
The highlight of the festival "Colors of Uncle Ho's City" is the "Turban Dance"
The “checkered scarf”, a simple yet sacred symbol of the Southern people, has been elevated to become the central image of the festival. From a simple piece of cloth, the checkered scarf has become a language to tell stories about the history, culture and indomitable spirit of the Southern people.
The rhythmic footsteps to the modern folk music, the heroic movements of hundreds of dancers, models, students and artists – all seem to whisper to the audience about a land of love, imbued with the national soul.
The theme song "Vu hoi khan ran - Dau hinh que huong", with the Southern folk music and the unique arrangement, performed by singer Bich Phuong, made the audience choked up. The lyrics are like a mother's sweet lullaby, both passionate and reminding each person of their roots.
"Turban Dance" has left a beautiful impression on the public.
Under the stage lights, in the open space of Nguyen Hue walking street, music and dance blend together, as a thank you to those who sacrificed for the country's reunification day - also a promise to preserve and continue traditional values in the new era.
The atmosphere of the festival night is the joy of a national festival, a moment for every citizen of Ho Chi Minh City to look back at the values that have created the city's identity: love for the country, pride and attachment to national culture and the beautiful echoes from the "Turban Dance" program that followed them home.
"Turban Dance" ended in resounding applause, but its echoes certainly lingered for a long time in the hearts of those who were present that night. Because it was an art program like a heartfelt message about the pride of Vietnamese citizens living in a peaceful , independent country.
