On the evening of November 18, Nam Tra My Regional Medical Center, Da Nang city received 3 seriously ill patients who needed to be transferred to a higher level for treatment.
Due to the darkness and heavy landslides on Highway 40B (connecting Nam Tra My Regional Medical Center and the communes and wards in the delta), the unit focused on rescue and treatment, waiting for the road to be cleared to move immediately.

However, on the morning of November 19, Highway 40B continued to suffer from severe landslides. By 10:00 a.m., unable to keep seriously ill patients waiting, the Nam Tra My Regional Medical Center decided to coordinate with the Bac Tra My Regional Medical Center, the Defense Command of Region 3, and the Tra Leng Commune authorities to come up with a plan to transport the patients.
The journey to transport the patients was extremely difficult and arduous. The ambulance of Nam Tra My Regional Medical Center transported the patients to the quarry area of Tra Giac commune, where there was a severe landslide and the ambulance could not move.
Here, the regular militia force of Tra Leng commune and relatives carried the patient in a hammock across the extremely dangerous and difficult landslide quarry.
Thanks to the sense of responsibility for the people of the forces, the patients were taken to the other side of the landslide area.
