Dong Tuyen Commune received the Decision to recognize it as meeting advanced new rural standards.

After being recognized as meeting new rural standards in 2015, the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Tuyen commune have made constant efforts to build an advanced new rural commune.

Up to now, the commune has completed the overall and detailed planning in accordance with the urbanization orientation and policy of Lao Cai city; 100% of commune, inter-commune, village and inter-village roads have been hardened; 100% of households have access to the national grid; there are no more temporary or dilapidated houses in the area; the rate of people participating in health insurance has reached 95.6%; the average income has reached 64.2 million VND/person/year, there are no more multidimensional poor households, all aspects of people's lives have been improved; the commune has completed 19/19 criteria for an advanced new rural commune.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Sinh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented the decision to recognize the commune as an advanced new rural commune and presented flowers to congratulate Dong Tuyen commune.

With the achieved results, on April 29, 2025, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1373/QD-UBND recognizing Dong Tuyen commune, Lao Cai city to meet advanced new rural standards in 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Thanh Sinh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and congratulated the results achieved by the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Tuyen commune in the process of building an advanced new rural commune.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the locality continue to strive for even greater achievements in the coming time. First of all, it is necessary to develop a specific plan and roadmap, suitable to the actual conditions of the locality, clearly identify key and priority tasks, assign specific responsibilities to each organization and individual to ensure effective implementation; promote the exemplary role of cadres and party members, encourage people to actively participate in maintaining, sustaining and improving the achieved criteria.

The Party Committee and the communal government focus on leading and directing the economic restructuring and production development towards increasing the proportion of services and non-agricultural industries, in line with the urbanization trend, creating on-site jobs for people.

Promote movements to beautify village roads and alleys, build electric lines, flower roads, and clean the rural environment in the commune, contributing to building a bright - green - clean - beautiful landscape, promoting the development of community tourism; focus on building a strong political system, focusing on promoting the application of information technology, digital transformation, contributing to perfecting e-government, towards digital government.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 4 individuals; the Chairman of Lao Cai City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 5 individuals; Dong Tuyen Commune People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 collectives and 15 individuals with outstanding achievements in building a commune that meets advanced new rural standards.
