On June 29, according to a reporter from Hanoi Moi Newspaper at the new Quang Minh commune, the preparation of facilities, equipment, and welcome banners at the headquarters and roads has been basically completed and is ready for operation.

The new Quang Minh commune has a natural area of ​​31.55 km2, a population of 61,008 people, including the entire area and population of Chi Dong town, Quang Minh town; most of the natural area and population of Kim Hoa, Thanh Lam, Dai Thinh communes; part of the natural area and population of Me Linh commune, Me Linh district.

The headquarters of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee and socio -political organizations of Quang Minh commune is now the headquarters of the District Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Me Linh district (address: Noi Dong village, Dai Thinh commune).
