Urgently fix the dike break

Accordingly, on October 14, a section of the dike in Xom Moi hamlet, Vinh Chau commune broke, causing floodwaters to overflow into about 220 hectares of rice fields, posing a risk of flooding, causing great economic damage to the people.

Immediately after receiving the information, the People's Committee of Vinh Chau commune mobilized vehicles and sent forces to coordinate with local people to urgently reinforce and repair the broken dike section, and at the same time pumped out water to avoid flooding of rice fields.

Vinh Chau Commune People's Committee mobilized forces to participate in overcoming the incident of broken dike to protect rice fields.

The initial cause was determined to be prolonged heavy rain, combined with water from upstream causing rising water levels, leaking dike toe leading to landslides and dike breakage.

Currently, the dike has been basically repaired, and water in the rice fields is gradually being drained out. Vinh Chau Commune authorities continue to closely monitor the weather situation, and are ready with forces and means to respond when situations arise, ensuring the safety of people's production./.
