The group stage of the 2023 Asian Cup finals with a total of 36 matches has just officially ended. In addition to the 12 official tickets for the first and second-placed teams in the 6 groups, there are also 4 additional tickets for the 4 third-placed teams with the best results.

In the final match of Group E, the Korean team drew 3-3 with Malaysia and only won second place in the group, while Jordan fell from the leading position to third place in Group F.

In Group F, Saudi Arabia and Thailand, both of whom had previously advanced, drew 0-0. In the match between Oman (1 point) and Kyrgyzstan (0 points), Oman had a big advantage to advance thanks to Muhsen Al Ghassani's goal in the 8th minute, but Kyrgyzstan equalized 1-1 at the end of the match. With this result, both teams could not advance to the group stage.

Thus, the 16 teams that have qualified for the round of 16 of the 2023 Asian Cup have been determined, including: Qatar and Tajikistan (Group A), Australia, Uzbekistan and Syria (Group B), Iran, UAE and Palestine (Group C), Iraq, Japan and Indonesia (Group D), Bahrain, South Korea and Jordan (Group E), Saudi Arabia and Thailand (Group F).

The top six teams are Qatar, Australia, Iran, Iraq, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. The runners-up are Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, UAE, Japan, South Korea and Thailand. The four best third-placed teams are Jordan, Palestine, Syria and Indonesia.

According to the tournament's branching method, the 8 round of 16 matches will take place between the following teams: Saudi Arabia - Korea, Iraq - Jordan, Indonesia - Australia, Thailand - Uzbekistan, Qatar - Palestine, Bahrain - Japan, Iran - Syria and Tajikistan - UAE.

The 2023 Asian Cup Round of 16 will begin on January 28 and end on January 31.
