The group stage of the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship has just ended, determining the 8 best teams to enter the quarterfinals, including: China, Chinese Taipei, Vietnam, Iran, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong (China) and Indonesia.
The Vietnamese women's futsal team continued to make a splash when they drew 0-0 with Iran in the final round of Group B, thereby winning the top spot with 7 points after 3 matches.

This is an impressive achievement for coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team, especially when Iran is the defending champion of the tournament. In the quarter-finals, Vietnam will face Japan - the opponent who beat us 4-1 in a recent friendly match.
In the remaining matches, China - the all-winner in Group A - will face Indonesia, the third-placed team in Group C with the best record. Chinese Taipei (second in Group A) will face Iran (second in Group B). Thailand, the top team in Group C, will face Hong Kong (China) - the team that advanced from Group B as one of the two third-placed teams with the best record.
The quarter-finals will take place on May 13. The top three teams will qualify for the first FIFA Women's Futsal World Cup, to be held in the Philippines in 2025, a historic milestone for Asian women's football.
