Confirming the body found on Duong River is the suspect who kidnapped a 2-year-old child in Hanoi

Previously, on the evening of September 21, authorities recovered the body of a woman from the Duong River , across Phu Dong Bridge, Gia Lam District, Hanoi.

The Criminal Police Department (CSHS), Hanoi City Police, together with other functional units, has investigated to determine whether this body is that of Giap Thi Huyen Trang, the suspect in the kidnapping and murder of a 2-year-old child in Gia Lam.

Previously, on September 19, Hung Yen Provincial Police received a request from Hanoi City Police to coordinate in verifying and arresting Giap Thi Huyen Trang (27 years old, living in Viet Ngoc commune, Tan Yen district, Bac Giang province), a suspect in kidnapping NHTh. (nearly 2 years old, living in an urban area in Da Ton commune, Gia Lam district, Hanoi) for ransom.

Through investigation, at around 11:30 a.m. on September 20, Hung Yen Provincial Police discovered Th.'s body in a fish pond belonging to Mr. NXT's family farm (62 years old, in Me So commune, Van Giang district, Hung Yen province).

Immediately after discovery, the Provincial Police coordinated with the People's Procuracy at the same level to conduct a crime scene investigation, autopsy, and organize an investigation to clarify the matter.

After investigating and having sufficient grounds, on September 21, Hung Yen Provincial Police initiated a case and prosecuted Giap Thi Huyen Trang (27 years old, from Bac Giang province) for murder.
