In the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital has promoted the tradition of solidarity, intelligence, perseverance in overcoming difficulties, innovation in leadership, direction and operation, completing the targets set out in the Resolution of the 34th Congress, contributing to affirming the prestige and brand of the Hospital in performing the task of medical examination and treatment for the people of the city.
Notably, during the term, the Hospital examined and treated more than 1.8 million outpatients, reaching an average of 120% of the annual plan; treated more than 500,000 inpatients, reaching an average of 140% of the annual plan; performed 79,887 surgeries and procedures, reaching an average of more than 95% of the plan, with the highest rate in 2022 at 99%.
Regarding human resources, the Hospital currently has 10 Associate Professors, 33 Doctors (nearly double that of the previous term), 88 Masters, 59 Specialist II doctors and 105 Specialist I doctors. Many doctors have high professional qualifications, trained in countries with developed medicine such as France, Japan, Canada, Czech Republic, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore... At the same time, the Hospital cooperates in training more than 3,000 students from Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hai Duong University of Medical Technology, Hai Phong Medical College.
Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital identifies scientific research and new technology development as a breakthrough task, contributing practically to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment. At the same time, the Hospital effectively performs the task of directing the line, contributing to reducing the load on central hospitals; supporting the improvement of emergency and on-site treatment capacity for district and county medical facilities; proactively and promptly deploying measures to prevent and combat epidemics, natural disasters and catastrophes.
During the term, the Hospital has innovated management, proactively implemented the Group I financial autonomy mechanism, increased investment in development, and gradually increased the income of cadres, civil servants, and employees. Thanks to the effective implementation of revenue-expenditure balance, the lives of employees are guaranteed; average income and additional income in the period 2020-2025 nearly doubled compared to the beginning of the term.
Party building work has been seriously implemented. The entire Party Committee has admitted 159 new Party members, reaching 122% of the target for the 2020-2025 term. The work of evaluating and classifying Party members has been carried out strictly and seriously; on average, 20% of Party cells are awarded the title of excellent task completion each year; 97-98% of Party members complete their tasks, of which 78-80% complete their tasks well, and 1-2% complete their tasks excellently.
In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Party Committee of Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital continues to promote collective intelligence, improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization; strive to build the Hospital into a specialized medical facility of the Northern Coastal Region, meeting the development requirements of the country, the health sector and the city by 2030, with a vision to 2045. The Hospital determines to focus on personnel work, build a transparent and effective management system; develop a team of highly qualified human resources; promote digital transformation, deploy electronic medical records under the direction of the Ministry of Health and the city. Along with that, focus on investing in building modern medical facilities and equipment, meeting the increasing needs of medical examination and treatment of the people in the new situation.
Speaking at the 35th Congress of the Party Committee of Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital, term 2025 - 2030, comrade Le Anh Quan, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the comprehensive results that the Hospital Party Committee has achieved in the past term; at the same time, expressed his agreement with the directions, tasks and solutions for the next term.
He suggested that the Party Committee and leaders of the Hospital continue to develop in the direction of becoming a Northern Coastal Regional Hospital, mastering advanced and specialized techniques, expanding scale while ensuring treatment quality. Promoting digital transformation in professional work, improving processes, applying technology in management and patient care. Focusing on developing high-quality human resources, focusing on specialized training, having a strategy to attract talent, creating a modern, civilized and humane working environment.
In the work of Party building, he suggested that the Hospital Party Committee continue to take good care of the material and spiritual life of cadres and Party members; improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization; maintain solidarity and unity, and build a clean and strong Party organization. Immediately after the Congress, it is necessary to urgently concretize the Resolution into an action program, work plan, clearly assign tasks, and have annual results checked and evaluated.
The Congress was a great success. This is an opportunity for the Hospital Party Committee to evaluate the results of implementing the Congress Resolution for the 2020-2025 term, point out the shortcomings, limitations and causes, thereby determining the goals, targets, breakthroughs, directions, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term.
