In the context of digital transformation and the green economy, the Farmers' Association must work alongside farmers in organizing production, linking value chains, building brands, and marketing agricultural products.

Leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association and leaders of Tay Ninh province presented the decision and flowers to congratulate the Executive Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association.

On the morning of December 15th, the first Congress of the Tay Ninh Provincial Farmers' Association, for the 2025-2030 term, held its official session in Long An ward. Comrade Phan Nhu Nguyen, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Standing Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, attended and delivered a guiding speech.

At the congress, Comrade Phan Nhu Nguyen commended the achievements in the work of the association and the farmers' movement in Tay Ninh in the past period.

Recognizing that the provincial merger places a high demand on innovative thinking and working methods, the comrade requested that the Provincial Farmers' Association shift strongly from an administrative approach to supporting farmers through specific programs and services with clear output and measurable effectiveness.

All activities of the association should be centered around farmers, who are the subjects of the agricultural development process and the construction of new rural areas.

Comrade Phan Nhu Nguyen emphasized that, in the context of digital transformation and the green economy, the association must work alongside farmers in organizing production, linking value chains, building brands, and marketing agricultural products.

In particular, in the coming period, Tay Ninh needs to build a team of association officials who understand farmers and the market, and are proficient in technology; focus on training in digital skills, cooperative economics, and market analysis; and boldly appoint young, qualified officials to key positions.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Ninh province, Nguyen Thanh Hai, presented a golden plaque to congratulate the congress.

At the congress, the decisions of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association were announced, appointing 63 members to the Executive Committee and 15 members to the Standing Committee. Comrade Nguyen Thanh Tung was elected Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial Farmers' Association for the first term, 2025-2030.

The Congress unanimously agreed on important targets such as recruiting 20,000 new members; establishing 1,000 professional associations and 100 professional branches; striving for 97% of grassroots associations to successfully complete their tasks or better; annually training 1,500 outstanding farmers; developing at least 30 cooperatives built by the core Farmers' Association; and increasing the Farmers' Support Fund by 10 billion VND/year.
