Constructing and upgrading more than 416km of rural roads

(QNO) - In 2023, Quang Nam will build and upgrade nearly 417km of rural roads; build and repair 97 bridges and culverts in the rural road system.

Implementing Resolution No. 38 dated September 17, 2020 of the Provincial People's Council on the project to solidify the district road system and rural traffic in the province for the period 2021 - 2025; in 2023, the Provincial People's Committee allocated more than 1,607 billion VND to localities; of which the provincial budget supported about 707 billion VND, the local budget matched about 900 billion VND, up to now the provincial budget has allocated 600 billion VND.

From the above capital, in 2023, localities will solidify the road surface of more than 117km of district roads, reinforce more than 115km of roadside, reinforce more than 94km of longitudinal ditches, and build and repair 62 bridges and culverts in the district road system and build and upgrade nearly 416km of rural roads and 97 gong bridges.

For items and volumes under local mechanisms, the rural traffic road surface has been expanded by more than 37km and the rural traffic roadbed has been expanded by more than 29km.

The implementation of the Project to solidify the district road system and rural traffic system integrated into the national target programs on new rural construction and socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas creates favorable conditions for the movement of goods.

In the province, 100% of car roads to commune centers have been asphalted or concreted, and 98.81% of roads to village centers have been hardened.
