Container truck overturned and crushed garbage truck, causing traffic congestion for hours

TPO - The incident of a container truck overturning on Quang Trung Street (Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City) caused traffic on this street and many neighboring roads to be congested for a long time.

As of 8:30 a.m. on November 27, Go Vap District authorities (HCMC) were still urgently moving the overturned container truck to relieve traffic congestion.

Initial information, at around 3am the same day, the male driver was driving a container truck with a HCMC license plate carrying a cargo box, traveling on Quang Trung Street, from Go Vap 6-way intersection to District 12.

Arriving in front of a house on Quang Trung Street (Ward 10, Go Vap District), the container truck suddenly crashed through several sections of the median strip and then swerved into the opposite lane. The incident caused the container to flip over and push a nearby garbage truck onto the sidewalk.

At the time of the incident, the road was deserted, so no one was injured. At the scene, the container was deformed and lying on the sidewalk. Traffic through the area was congested for a long time during rush hour. Due to the impact of the incident, some surrounding roads were also severely congested.

Upon receiving the news, the Traffic Police Team of Go Vap District Police arrived to investigate the cause and dispatched a crane to move the container truck to clear the traffic jam.

Through inspection, the authorities determined that the driver had no alcohol concentration and was negative for drugs.
