Trial of the subject who stabbed his drinking buddy's neighbor

(BDO) On July 14, the Provincial People's Court opened a trial for defendant Pham Van Thai, (born in 1978, from Ha Tinh) for the crime of "murder in an attempted crime".

According to the indictment, at around 6:30 p.m. on February 18, 2022, Pham Van Thai went to Nguyen Doan Nghia's rented room in Binh Chuan Ward, Thuan An City to play. There, Thai drank alcohol with Nghia and another friend. A short while later, Pham Van Toai came to play and challenged Thai to a fight, but was stopped by everyone. Out of anger, Thai went to find and stabbed Toai with a knife.

Defendant Pham Van Thai was sentenced to 8 years in prison for "murder".

On February 19, 2022, Thai was arrested by the Investigation Police Agency of Thuan An City Police. During the investigation, Thai confessed to all his crimes.

As for the victim Toai, after returning from the hospital, Toai continued to cause trouble and stabbed a witness related to the case with a knife. Toai is currently being detained by the Investigation Police Department of Thuan An City Police.

At the trial, the representative of the Provincial People's Procuracy proposed a sentence of 7 to 8 years in prison for the crime of "murder". The trial panel sentenced the defendant Thai to 8 years in prison for the crime of "murder" in the case of attempted murder.
