On November 21, Nam Dinh Club announced the return of Nguyen Xuan Son. The naturalized striker born in 1997 will play in the match against Long An in the round of 16 of the LPBank Securities National Cup 2025 - 2026 at Thien Truong Stadium this weekend.
"At 6pm on November 23, Nam Dinh Blue Steel will host Long An at Thien Truong Stadium. This is the team's opening match at the National Cup, and also the start of the new role of CEO Vu Hong Viet and head coach Mauro Jeronimo.
And especially, the team will welcome the lovely guy Nguyen Xuan Son back to compete after a long time of injury treatment," Nam Dinh Club announced.
To welcome fans to the stadium, Nam Dinh decided to open the gate for free for both home and away fans.
"After 13 days of break, Thien Truong Stadium is lit up again for players to compete.
The team is looking forward to receiving the support of a large number of fans, to mark a new beginning and especially welcome "love" Xuan Son back to contribute.
The cheers from the stands will be a great motivation for the whole team to fight fiercely and return to their rightful position," the Southern football team informed.
Previously, on November 19, Xuan Son marked his return after 11 months of absence due to injury with 45 minutes in the second half of the match between Vietnam and Laos. He scored 1 goal to help the team win 2-0 and maintain the chance to win a ticket to the final round of the Asian Cup 2027.
