V-League has more interesting things

Before merging provinces and cities, the Vietnam National Football Championship (V-League) had "capital derbies" between teams headquartered in Hanoi, including Hanoi Club, Viettel The Cong Club and Hanoi Police Club.

In Resolution No. 60 passed by the Party Central Committee on April 12 at the 11th Central Conference, Session XIII (Resolution of the 11th Central Conference, Session XIII), the Party Central Committee agreed to the merger plan to have 34 provinces and cities (28 provinces and 6 centrally-run cities).

In the coming time, V-League will have more derby matches, the first is the Ninh Binh derby between Nam Dinh Club and Phu Dong Ninh Binh Club. According to the merger plan, Ha Nam province, Ninh Binh province and Nam Dinh province will merge, named Ninh Binh province, the political and administrative center is located in Ninh Binh province today. Nam Dinh province has Nam Dinh Club. Meanwhile, Phu Dong Ninh Binh Club is playing in the first division this season, with a high possibility of getting a ticket to play in V-League next season.

The matches between Quang Nam Club and Da Nang Club have always been called the Quang derby. But in the near future, the match between Quang Nam Club and Da Nang Club may be called by another name. Accordingly, Quang Nam province and Da Nang city will be merged, named Da Nang city, the political and administrative center is located in Da Nang city today.

Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces also merged, taking the name Gia Lai province, the political and administrative center is located in Binh Dinh province today. Gia Lai Derby is the confrontation between HAGL Club and Binh Dinh Club.

Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, Binh Duong Province and Ho Chi Minh City also came together under the same name, Ho Chi Minh City. The derby matches in the southern V-League field are the meetings between Ho Chi Minh City Club and Binh Duong Club.
