Failure must know how to stand up
Nguyen Hong Ngoc was chosen to represent 12th grade students to say goodbye to teachers and parents at the closing ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year after 3 years at Ky Anh High School, Ky Anh town ( Ha Tinh ).
For Ngoc and other 12th graders, this time is very special with mixed emotions, both anxiety and pressure to prepare for the big exam in life and having to say goodbye to teachers and beloved school.
Ngoc shared that 3 years of studying at high school are 1000 days. 1000 days have turned strange things into familiar things, into memories for the students who are about to reach adulthood.
Talking about her school, Hong Ngoc shared: “It is a place where every morning I go to class, my heart feels warm. The school has dedicated teachers who silently sow the seeds of knowledge with all their love. It is a place where the familiar sound of the school drum resounds, and where the old royal poinciana tree is always bright red in every season, as if preserving the burning student years. We always carry within us a deep pride in this school with rich traditions and full of love.”
This is not only a place to teach, but also a place to nurture dreams, shape students' personalities, and arouse the desire to live a useful life for the community.
After 3 years of study, Ngoc feels extremely proud to be studying under the dedicated guidance of knowledgeable, enthusiastic and passionate teachers.

Nguyen Hong Ngoc, class 12A7, Ky Anh High School (Ha Tinh) gave an emotional speech about gratitude to teachers and parents. |
What I always remember and am grateful for is that teachers teach students to become talented people, "know how to be human", live with kindness, know how to love, share; know how to bow down, reach out a hand to help those in difficult circumstances and lives.
At the closing ceremony of the school year, Hong Ngoc choked up and said: “Please allow me to bow my head to thank the teachers, the quiet “ferrymen” in the midst of the storms of life. We once read a sentence that said: “A teacher is someone who touches the hearts of students with kindness and tolerance”. And it is true, we have been wrong, lazy, and heartless… but it is the gentle eyes, patient voices, and immense hearts of our teachers that have nurtured our faith, gratitude, and even the desire to be human.”
The female student believes that teachers not only teach letters but also teach students how to live kindly, how to love and how to stand up after falling. In the future, no matter where they go, Ngoc and her friends will always remember those teachings as provisions and guiding lights for their entire lives.
Before the High School Graduation Exam, an important turning point for every student, Ngoc also shared the values taught by her teachers. That is, her teachers taught her and her friends that failure is not the end but a lesson to stand up stronger.
I used to blame my parents for not understanding me.
To the parents, the female student also represented the 12th grade students to bow her head to thank her parents, who have loved her all their lives without a single complaint. Parents are the two most sacred words, the starting point of every journey. From the time the child took his first steps to the time he confidently put on his uniform and entered the world, his parents have always silently followed, worried and sacrificed.
“We used to blame our parents for not understanding us. It’s strange, parents always remember what they feel is wrong. Children only pay attention to what disappoints them. We blame our parents for not understanding us, forgetting that their hearts are always full of bruises because of worry and sobbing for their children. We apologize for being so heartless. Thank you for being the most peaceful harbor in the midst of all the storms,” the female student choked up when talking about her parents.

Ngoc is a good student and participates in many volunteer activities. |
Ngoc shared with her friends: “Now, we have to walk on our own two feet, overcoming the challenges ahead. An egg broken from the outside is food, but broken from the inside is life. People are also affected from the outside as pressure, but overcoming from the inside is maturity. Only when we are strong enough to break our own limits, can we truly “grow up”, and not be overwhelmed by the expectations of others.”
Therefore, according to the female student, before the upcoming High School Graduation Exam, you should make an effort so that when you look back later, you can be proud. And from the moment you leave high school, you should be brave to move forward, seize your opportunities, pick yourself up every time you fall to grow up, to mature, and to become the best version of yourself.
