The new Yamaha Aerox E 2026 is a completely new electric scooter introduced for the first time in the Indian market and is aimed at the electric vehicle segment with a typical maxi-scooter design. With this design, the vehicle is both flexible for daily commuting needs on the street and very comfortable for trips to the suburbs. The launch of the Yamaha Aerox E 2026 electric motorcycle marks a completely new development for Yamaha in the Indian market (and also globally) - a "green" and high-performance vehicle for the future.
Yamaha Aerox E is the company's first electric vehicle with maxi-scooter style and is the perfect crystallization of the distinctive design DNA of the Aerox scooter (or NVX in Vietnam) with modern technology. The vehicle is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum capacity of up to 9.4 kW and a maximum torque of up to 48 Nm. This power helps the vehicle have sensitive throttle response and strong acceleration. This model uses a pair of 3 kWh batteries with a total capacity of up to 6 kWh for a total operating distance of up to 106 km/charge. The battery can be easily removed, so users can charge the battery flexibly.
Aerox E has 3 driving modes: Eco (energy saving), Standard (standard) and Power (high performance), with Boost feature for strong acceleration and reverse mode to help the driver easily enter and exit parking lots. In terms of design, the Aerox E uses the sporty and powerful design DNA from the Aerox 155 scooter line. Yamaha calls this design "Heart-Shaking Speedster" characterized by its overall bulky dimensions, sporty lines, and the X-shaped design in the center of the front mask. The car is also equipped with impressive equipment with dual LED headlights for better light intensity and durability, the entire lighting system on the car also uses modern LED technology. The car is integrated with a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with Y-Connect function and supports direct navigation from the screen, connecting to a smartphone for comprehensive vehicle control from the last location, nearest parking lot, and maintenance time. In addition, the car also uses a smartkey to bring impressive user experiences.
Yamaha also ensures that the Aerox E offers users the same exciting driving experience as other gasoline scooters with a series of impressive equipment. The vehicle is integrated with a disc brake system for both front and rear wheels with ABS for the front and a traction control system TCS. The Yamaha Aerox E is expected to officially "hit the shelves" in India in the first quarter of 2026. In addition, the Japanese automaker is also building a battery swapping station system in major cities in India to help users conveniently swap batteries.
