Yen Thuan, Yen Lam, Bang Coc and Thai Hoa receive the decision to recognize them as meeting new rural and advanced new rural standards.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen The Giang presented the decision to recognize Yen Thuan commune (Ham Yen) as meeting new rural standards.

Comrade Nguyen The Giang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the ceremony in Yen Thuan commune; also attending were leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors of the province, Ham Yen district and a large number of local officials and people.

Implementing new rural construction in the 2021-2025 period, Yen Thuan, Yen Lam and Bang Coc communes have mobilized hundreds of billions of VND from the state budget, contributions from businesses and people to build rural infrastructure and invest in production development.

The appearance of the new rural areas in the communes has many positive changes, with investment in transport infrastructure, electricity, schools, medical stations, and cultural institutions; the material and spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved, the poverty rate has decreased significantly, and political security and order and safety in the communes have been maintained. Up to now, Yen Thuan, Yen Lam, and Bang Coc communes have all completed 19/19 new rural criteria.

Thai Hoa commune has mobilized over 6 billion VND, of which people contributed nearly 1.3 billion VND, donated over 2,000m2 of land for concrete roads; average income per capita reached over 56 million VND/person/year, the poverty rate by the end of 2024 was 3.7%; near-poor households were 2.8%... The commune achieved 19/19 criteria for building advanced new rural areas, this is the driving force for the commune to continue building model new rural areas in the coming time.

Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment presented the decision of the Provincial People's Committee that the commune meets new rural standards to Yen Lam commune (Ham Yen).

Speaking at the decision-giving ceremony in Yen Thuan commune, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen The Giang congratulated and praised the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Ham Yen district in general and Yen Thuan commune in particular. He emphasized that building a new countryside is a continuous, long-term process, with a starting point but no end point.

He suggested that local Party committees and authorities continue to promote propaganda to officials and people about the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, especially at the time of implementing the current administrative unit arrangement.

Yen Thuan commune coordinates with Bach Xa commune and Minh Khuong commune to develop a plan to continue to consolidate, maintain, uphold and improve the new rural criteria. After the administrative unit arrangement, the commune needs to effectively receive, manage, use and exploit, not to let waste happen the infrastructure works that have been and are being invested in to serve the socio -economic development of the locality.

Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment presented the decision of the Provincial People's Committee that the commune meets new rural standards to Bang Coc commune (Ham Yen).

At the same time, focus on developing commodity agricultural production, replicating effective production models, promoting the application of scientific and technological advances to improve productivity and output of crops and livestock, building and participating in the chain from production to processing and consumption of agricultural products associated with the implementation of the "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) Program to create good quality products, organic products, unique and competitive in the market.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Ham Yen District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 collectives and 12 individuals in 3 communes: Yen Thuan, Yen Lam and Bang Coc with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Tuyen Quang joins hands to build new rural areas".
