The pain is unbearable

Loanne Jeunet was born at Hung Vuong Hospital (HCMC) on January 5, 1994. However, after birth, she was abandoned at the hospital.

Having no relatives, the girl was taken to the Go Vap Orphanage (Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City). There, she was given a replacement birth certificate with the name Tao Thi Ngoc Thao.

Three months later, Ngoc Thao was adopted by a French couple. Her adoptive parents named her Loanne Jeunet.

Loanne grew up in a loving, perfect family. However, throughout her childhood, she still did not feel happy. She realized that she had many differences with other children of the same age.

Finally, Loanne was told by her parents that she was adopted and Vietnamese. The day she learned that her biological parents had abandoned her at birth, Loanne was in extreme pain. That pain caused Loanne to fall into depression.

Loanne confided : “When I found out I was abandoned, I was always scared and sad. Later, I met many people in the same situation. They all had one thing in common: they lived in a dark childhood, always haunted by the fear of being abandoned again, being discriminated against by their race at school…

Those fears left me with deep psychological trauma. From a very young age, my adoptive parents took me to see psychologists for treatment. However, the treatments still could not fill the void in my soul.

Three months after birth, Loanne Jeunet was adopted by a French couple.

To make their daughter happy, Mr. and Mrs. Jeunet tried to find the person who gave birth to and abandoned her. Loanne's adoptive father even secretly went to Vietnam to find his daughter's biological mother.

When Loanne was 15, he decided to take her back to Vietnam to find her biological mother. However, this search for her roots brought Loanne great disappointment.

She discovered that the information on the replacement birth certificate belonged to another newborn who unfortunately died after birth. Loanne then found the woman who was believed to be her biological mother.

Loanne grew up in the love of her adoptive parents.

However, the DNA test results proved that the two were not biological mother and daughter. The 3-month search came to a dead end, and Loanne returned to France with endless sadness.

Settling down, learning Vietnamese to find mother

Throughout her childhood and up until now, Loanne has constantly asked herself why her mother abandoned her. She has thought of countless situations and circumstances to find the most convincing answer.

However, Loanne was never satisfied with any answer. So she kept searching for her biological mother. She returned to Vietnam in 2016, 2017, and 2018 in the hope of finding information about the person who gave birth to her.

Loanne returned to Vietnam many times to find her biological mother.

Loanne even stayed in Viet Nam throughout 2019 to find her mother. She visited her birthplace and the Go Vap orphanage many times to find information. However, the search did not yield positive results.

In 2020, because of work, the girl was forced to return to France and was stuck here due to the pandemic. However, she still hired an agency to find her mother.

She said: “For two years stuck in France due to the pandemic, I still tried to find my mother by hiring a company. However, I only received disappointment and tears. I returned to Vietnam in January 2023 and intended to settle here to find my mother with the most peaceful mind.

She went to many places, tried to find her mother many times but without results.

I am trying to learn Vietnamese because I realize that the language barrier will make it difficult to find her. Moreover, I want to learn Vietnamese well so that I can talk to my mother if I find her one day.”

Over the past few days, Loanne has been trying to find her mother in a cheerful mood. She has visited the place where she lived before being adopted for the 6th time.

This time, Loanne got information about the person who supported the French couple who adopted her 29 years ago. This person is now old.

Her children all live in France. However, for unknown reasons, in the past few days, this person's family suddenly cut off all contact with Loanne.

Currently, Loanne intends to settle in Vietnam, learn Vietnamese to find her mother and be able to talk to her when they meet.

However, the girl said she will never stop looking for her mother. Because she is the last missing piece in her soul.

Loanne sent a message: “I have never been angry with you, even though I have asked myself why you abandoned me thousands of times. I don’t know if you still remember or think about me. But I always think and miss you every day.

I will never stop looking for you, even though I don't know what to say to you if we find each other. But I want you to know that only you can replace and fill the void in my heart.

Every day that passes, I wish you the best. I have a birthmark on my tongue. I think you might have seen it before you left me for some painful reason.”

Finally, Loanne hopes that anyone with information about her biological mother will contact her via the following addresses: Instagram @loanne_thao or [email protected] .
