10 outstanding activities of women's associations at all levels in 2025

1. Promote the role of women in building a clean and strong Party and political system.

In line with the theme of the year: "Promoting the role of women in building a clean and strong Party and political system, ready to enter a new era, an era of national progress," all levels of the Women's Union proactively monitor the implementation of laws related to the legitimate rights and interests of women and children; actively and effectively contribute to social feedback and criticism on draft legal documents from a gender equality perspective.

At the central level, social critique was conducted on 3 draft laws (exceeding the target by 1.5 times); 10 out of 34 provincial and city Women's Unions carried out social critique. Comments on the draft Resolution amending some articles of the 2013 Constitution were submitted through various forms, totaling over 3.9 million opinions; 8,541 consultations were held to gather feedback on documents for Party Congresses at all levels and the 14th National Congress of the Party, with 317,004 cadres, members, and women from the central to grassroots levels participating.

2. Actively participate in the patriotic emulation movement.

The emulation movement and special emulation campaign received enthusiastic support from all levels of the Women's Union and women of all social strata, creating strong momentum, arousing the spirit of solidarity and creativity, and affirming the important role and contributions of women in building and developing the country. As a result, the Women's Union at all levels implemented 20,422 projects/tasks (5,014 projects and 15,408 tasks); built 1,728 new houses and repaired 1,056 houses of compassion with a total cost of 266,903 billion VND.

3. Activities commemorating the 95th anniversary of the Association's founding were lively and enthusiastic.

4. Complete the Women's Congress at the commune level for the 2025-2030 term.

To date, the Women's Congress at the commune level for the 2025-2030 term has been completed. The guidance for the provincial-level Congress has been implemented in accordance with regulations. The Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union is promptly incorporating the directives of General Secretary To Lam regarding the 10 key orientations for the organization, concretizing them into the draft documents of the 14th National Women's Congress at all levels; focusing on consolidating the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee at all levels.

5. Reorganize the organizational structure and personnel in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 18/NQ-TW.

The various levels of the Association focused on reorganizing the organizational structure and personnel in accordance with Resolution 18/NQ-TW and the conclusions of the Politburo and the Secretariat, promptly consolidating personnel in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and key personnel at all levels, ensuring the stability of the apparatus and the efficient and smooth operation of activities. At the central level alone, the organizational structure was reduced by 13 departments and units, equivalent to 72.2% compared to 2017. Specifically, the Movement Block was reduced from 10 subordinate units to only 1 department, equivalent to 90%, and the departmental level was eliminated.

6. Innovate the Association's operating methods, focusing on the application of information technology.

The breakthrough initiative "Innovating the working methods of the Association, focusing on the application of information technology" has been implemented decisively. Associations at all levels closely follow the Central Committee's directives, proactively developing digital transformation plans, plans to implement Resolution 57, and the "Digital Literacy Movement"; they proactively and creatively utilize social media platforms and digital applications to innovate activities, propaganda, and raise awareness among Association officials at all levels about the role of digital transformation...

7. Enhancing women's economic empowerment

Women's Unions at all levels have proactively organized activities within the framework of the Government's projects "Supporting women's entrepreneurship in the period 2017-2025" (Project 939), the Project "Supporting cooperatives managed by women, creating jobs for female workers until 2030" (Project 01); and the National Target Program for sustainable poverty reduction, ensuring progress and effectiveness, and receiving the consensus and support of Party committees and authorities. The Central Committee of the Women's Union has proposed to the Prime Minister to approve the Project "Supporting women's entrepreneurship in the period 2026-2035" according to Decision No. 2415/QD-TTg dated October 31, 2025 (Project 2415) to continue the success of the Project "Supporting women's entrepreneurship in the period 2017-2025".

8. Leverage strengths in mobilizing resources for social welfare implementation.

The "Accompanying Women in Border Areas" program mobilized over 46.5 billion VND to donate livelihood models/means, public works, shelters of love, scholarships, medical examinations and treatment, free medicine distribution, gifts, etc. Women's Union branches at all levels mobilized over 164 billion VND to organize activities caring for women and children in difficult circumstances, female Party members with many years of Party membership, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and families of policy beneficiaries. In particular, Women's Union branches at all levels launched and mobilized resources to support people affected by storms and floods, totaling nearly 62 billion VND. After nearly four years of implementing the "Godmother" program (2021-2025), the Women's Union at all levels has mobilized 243.65 billion VND, connected 34,985 direct godmothers and 21,881 indirect godmothers, providing support to 37,765 orphaned children in difficult circumstances, including more than 3,000 orphans due to COVID-19.

9. Building a prosperous, progressive, happy, and civilized Vietnamese family.

Activities supporting the building of prosperous, progressive, happy, and civilized Vietnamese families have been implemented synchronously, closely following the direction of the Party and the State. The "Building a family with 5 no's and 3 clean's" campaign has contributed to the implementation of 11 out of 19 criteria for new rural areas, achieving and exceeding 3 out of 8 important targets of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Vietnam Women's Union. The Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union successfully proposed adjusting the content of the "Building a family with 5 no's, 3 clean's, and 3 safe's" campaign, as directed by General Secretary To Lam, into the new phase of the National Target Program.

10. Participate in the Celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union coordinated the participation of the Vietnamese Women's Bloc in the parade at the A80 Anniversary Celebration; organized the exhibition "Vietnamese Women Upholding the Tradition of Heroism - Indomitability - Loyalty - Diligence, Confidently Stepping into a New Era" at the Exhibition of National Achievements over 80 Years; organized the online photo contest "Each Ao Dai - A Beautiful Story" attracting more than 1,700 entries from 25 provinces, cities and affiliated units; launched a nationwide folk dance performance with the participation of 500,000 people from 2,574 communes and wards. The various levels of the Union organized commemorative activities linked to social welfare activities, "Paying Gratitude and Showing Appreciation," offering incense at historical sites, contributing to traditional education, showing gratitude and remembrance to revolutionary predecessors, practically caring for policy beneficiary families, and promoting cultural, artistic, and sports exchanges…
