In 1982 at the ASIAD in India, shooter Nguyen Quoc Cuong won a bronze medal, opening a new stage for Vietnamese shooting to attack the ASIAD. U.23 Vietnam defends Southeast Asian championship title
The U.23 Vietnam team led by coach Hoang Anh Tuan went to Thailand to compete in the 2023 Southeast Asian U.23 tournament as the defending champion.
