This is a practical activity to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8), the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28), and at the same time to make achievements to welcome Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 17th Ca Mau Provincial Party Congress.
100 female union members and female workers in difficult circumstances received free health check-ups.
The program aims to improve the quality of health care for female workers, especially those in difficult circumstances who are working in enterprises with trade unions. Thereby, it demonstrates the concern and responsibility of trade unions at all levels in protecting and caring for the rights and lives of workers.
The health check-up includes: general health consultation, gynecological examination, breast ultrasound, cervical examination and cervical cancer screening using modern immunological methods (Pap's Liqui-Prep). For cases where the disease is detected, the program also supports free medication.
Women are examined by doctors and given proactive health care advice, contributing to protecting and improving the quality of life.
The selected participants are female union members, workers in difficult circumstances, with priority given to those over 40 years old, with risk factors for cancer or with a family member who has had cancer.
Through the program, the trade union hopes to spread the message of proactive health care, contributing to protecting and improving the quality of life for female workers, helping them feel secure in their work and stay with the business for a long time.
