- On the afternoon of April 24, the Detention Center, Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the decision to reduce the prison sentence for prisoners on April 30, 2025.

Attending the announcement ceremony were representatives of the Provincial People's Procuracy; leaders of the Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support Police Department, Provincial Police.

Overview of the decision announcement ceremony

At the ceremony, the representative of the Prisoner Management Sub-camp of the Detention Camp, Provincial Police announced the decision to reduce the prison term for 14 prisoners on April 30, 2025. Of these, 6 prisoners had their remaining prison term reduced; 1 prisoner had his sentence reduced by 5 months; 1 prisoner had his sentence reduced by 4 months; 3 prisoners had their sentence reduced by 3 months and 3 prisoners had their sentence reduced by 2 months.

Leaders of the Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support Police Department, Provincial Police and representatives of the Provincial People's Procuracy presented decisions to 6 prisoners to have their sentences reduced.

The above prisoners meet the following conditions: have served 1/3 of their sentence; have a prison sentence performance rating of good or better.

Lieutenant Colonel Ha Van Hieu, Deputy Head of the Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support Police Department, Provincial Police, spoke at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, the leader of the Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support Police Department, Provincial Police, requested that when returning to their locality to reintegrate into the community, prisoners must strictly comply with the laws of the State and regulations of the locality where they reside, and strive to become useful people for their families and society. For the remaining prisoners, they must continue to work hard and reform well to be considered for a sentence reduction in the next rounds.

Detention Camp officers and Provincial Police carry out procedures for prisoners to have their sentences reduced and reintegrate into the community.
