Accordingly, a candidate can choose many university admission methods at the same time, even 19 methods, to optimize the chance of admission.

The general admission support system of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) will automatically process candidate data according to the principle of equality between methods. Candidates admitted by any method will be considered for the results of that method.

Compared to 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training has eliminated 4 methods including: Combining direct admission according to the project and other methods; direct admission according to the project of the training institution; combining interviews with other criteria for admission; combining international certificates with other criteria for admission.

However, the Ministry of Education and Training also added 3 new methods including: Using international SAT certificates for admission; V-SAT exam; using V-SAT exam results organized by other units for admission.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 25-28, with candidates completing procedures on the 25th and taking the official exam on the 26th and 27th. The 28th is a backup exam schedule.

In addition to the two compulsory subjects of math and literature, candidates must choose two of the subjects studied in grade 12: foreign languages, history, geography, physics, chemistry, biology, economic and legal education, information technology and technology.

In which, Literature subject is tested in essay form, the remaining subjects are tested in multiple choice form.

According to the plan, at 8:00 a.m. on July 16, the Ministry will announce the exam scores for candidates to register for university admission. The registration period is from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28.
