Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club confirmed the services of Ashley Tram Anh and Chelsea Le ahead of the 2024-2025 AFC Champions League Women's and further the 2025 National Women's Cup.
Chelsea Le, born in 2001, was named "Best Midfielder of 2024" by the West Coast Conference (WCC) sports system in the US. Le started 36/37 matches for Gonzaga University.
The 24-year-old midfielder returned to Vietnam to try her hand in 2019 but did not stay and has not had the opportunity to wear the Vietnamese women's team shirt at any level. Therefore, this return is very promising for her.
Chelsea Le is at the peak of her career. The Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club hopes to be a launching pad for overseas Vietnamese female players in the two upcoming tournaments: the AFC Champions League Women's and the 2025 National Cup.
Another Vietnamese-American female player who will also play for the HCMC Women’s Club this time is Ashley Tram Anh. She was born in 2002, is 1.52m tall, and is playing for Gonzaga University, reuniting with her old team.

Last year, Ashley Tram Anh was registered by Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club to compete in the 2024 National Cup. However, at the last minute, Ashley's transfer documents were not completed, so she could not come to Vietnam.
This time, coach Doan Thi Kim Chi will have the services of two Vietnamese-American female players Ashley Tram Anh and Chelsea Le for the two fronts of the Women's AFC Champions League and the 2025 Women's National Cup.
Along with that, the team also has 2 foreign players for the international front, striker Sabrina Marie Cabrera and center back Aubrey Rae Goodwill. These two foreign players will join the HCMC Women's Club squad in the match against Abu Dhabi Country (UAE) on March 22 in the AFC Champions League.
