Lighting up country roads with solar lights

Electricity workers install solar lights in Hoc Thom 2 hamlet, Hoa Khanh Tay commune.

According to the plan, the project will install 15 sets of solar lights with a total cost of 25.5 million VND, from the annual Electricity Saving Program budget of Long An Electricity Company. The lights are arranged along the main road of Hoc Thom 2 Hamlet, Hoa Khanh Tay Commune, where there was previously no public lighting system, causing difficulties for people to travel at night.

Duc Hoa Electricity worker - Nguyen Doan Duy Khanh ( member of the construction team) shared: “As an electrician, our professional duty is not only to ensure a safe and continuous power supply, but also to be proud to contribute to bringing light to rural areas with many difficulties. This project is not only about lights, but also about the feelings and responsibility of electricity workers towards society”.

The joy and excitement were evident on the faces of the local people. Ms. Ho Nguyen Thi Dang Khoa, a resident of Hoa Khanh Tay commune, excitedly said: "Before, it was pitch dark, it was very scary to go out, especially for the children who came home late from school. Now that the lights are on, we are very happy, thank you to the Electricity Department for accompanying the people."

The project "Lighting up the countryside roads" in Hoa Khanh Tay commune is a testament to the pioneering spirit of the Electricity industry's workers in general and Duc Hoa Electricity workers in particular during Workers' Month 2025. The solar lamps not only light up the village roads but also light up the belief and hope in the daily changes of the homeland.
