250 cyclists compete in the 2025 National Road and Mountain Cycling Championship

On the morning of July 28, the 39th National Road and Off-Road Cycling Tournament 2025 officially entered competition.

On the morning of July 28, at Binh Duong Sports Training and Competition Center (Vo Van Kiet Street, Binh Duong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), the opening ceremony of the 39th National Road and Off-Road Cycling Race took place. The tournament was organized by the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the Vietnam Cycling and Motor Sports Federation.

The 39th National Road and Mountain Bike Championship took place from July 28 to August 7. The road bike event was held on the roads of Binh Duong, Hoa Loi, Ben Cat, Tan Uyen wards and Bau Bang, Phu Giao, and Bac Tan Uyen communes.

The mountain bike event was held in Dau Tieng Commune (HCMC). This year's tournament attracted more than 250 athletes from 12 provinces and cities with strong cycling movements across the country such as: Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Son La, An Giang, Vinh Long, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Army, HCMC 1 and HCMC 2 (athletes are currently managed by the Binh Duong Province Sports Training and Competition Center).

Athletes compete in 14 men's events such as: 40km individual scoring, 40km individual time trial, 70km team time trial, 500m speed, cross-country relay (XCP), individual and team Olympic cross-country (XCO)... and 14 women's events such as: 30km individual scoring, 30km individual time trial, 50km team time trial, 90km individual and team mass start, individual downhill,...

Immediately after the Opening Ceremony, athletes enthusiastically competed in the 30km women's scoring event and the 40km men's scoring event.
