The final round of the contest "Children draw creatively with BITEX" was organized by the Departmentof Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with Binh Tay Import Export Joint Stock Company (BITEX), with the competition of about 300 preschool children in the nursery and kindergarten classes in Ho Chi Minh City on April 15 and 16.

The 300 preschool children who made it to the final round were selected from thousands of preschool children competing at the school level and from 1,700 children competing at the district level.

The final round took place simultaneously at 4 locations, including: Cluster 1 at Hiep Binh Phuoc Kindergarten (Thu Duc City); Cluster 2 at Quang Trung Kindergarten (District 12); Cluster 3 at Hoa Mai Kindergarten (Binh Chanh District) and Cluster 4 at 19/5 Kindergarten (District 7).

The contest has given preschool children across the city the opportunity to show off their "artist" talents, cultivate their emotions, and nurture their artistic talents.

Accordingly, preschool children from 3-4-5-6 years old are free to draw real objects that the contest requires from their perspective.

The difficulty of the test increases with the age of the children. For example, in the test of drawing fruits, preschool children (3-4 years old) will only be required to draw 2 types of fruits, aligning them on paper so that the proportions are beautiful and aesthetic. Meanwhile, children in the nursery class (4-5 years old) are required to draw 4 types of fruits along with children in the leaf class (5-6 years old).

"Children are trained in imagination, creativity, coloring and shaping skills... The contest is truly like a creative festival for children. Almost every child is very excited and happy to participate in drawing" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hieu, teacher at Kindergarten 7A, said.

Aesthetic development for preschool children is extremely important.

"In the 5 areas of development of preschool children, aesthetic development for children at this age is extremely important. Therefore, the contest aims to help children develop aesthetics, imagination, coordination skills in creating shapes and artistic emotions in front of the world around them.

At the same time, this activity is part of a series of educational activities towards the 50th anniversary of National Reunification," informed Ms. Luong Thi Hong Diep - Head of Preschool Education Department - Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.
