On the evening of May 17, Phu Dong Ninh Binh won a resounding 3-0 victory over Ho Chi Minh City Youth Club in round 19 of the 2024-2025 First Division.

More notably, this victory officially helped Hoang Duc and his teammates win the 2024 - 2025 First Division championship.

Phu Dong Ninh Binh has 49 points after 17 matches, far ahead of the second-placed team Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc (41 points) after 18 matches. Meanwhile, each team only played 20 matches, so coach Viet Thang and his team have officially won the championship.

On the day coach Viet Thang lost his command, his players still easily overwhelmed their opponents, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Club. Van Thanh, Thanh Binh and Quoc Viet were the three players who scored for Phu Dong Ninh Binh.

With the first-place title already decided, the second place promises to be a fierce competition between Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc and PVF-CAND. However, Cong Phuong’s team still holds the advantage with a slight increase in points.
