Ms. Nguyen Le Hanh Nhi, representative of the Organizing Committee of the “Brilliant Vietnam” Painting Contest, shared: “We started this contest with the simple desire to create an artistic playground for children. But the deeper we delve, the more we see the power of art in connecting the young generation with their cultural roots. The most touching thing is that many children were born and raised abroad but expressed their love for their homeland through emotional and delicate drawings."

Draw with pride and nostalgia

With 1,000 entries from 17 countries, the “Brilliant Vietnam” painting contest is not only an art playground but also a journey connecting communities in Vietnam and the world to spread national pride.

Before participating in the contest, many young people only knew about familiar symbols and cultural heritages such as beef noodle soup, Ha Long Bay, Hoi An..., but then learned more about lesser-known cultural values, such as hát bội, bull racing festivals, chau van, Hầu đồng, Tứ linh...

Artists Anthony Phuong and Léa Ziwei Li-Phuong, founders of A2Z Paris Art Gallery and members of the Jury, shared: "We are very excited because the French public will soon have the opportunity to explore the diversity and richness of Vietnamese culture through the works exhibited this time at Gallery A2Z. It is noteworthy that the children in the older group (12 to 17 years old) have known how to apply drawing techniques, as well as being inspired by very modern elements. We feel their pride in expressing the beauty of Vietnam - a country with deep historical culture and its own unique identity."

“Brilliant Vietnam” is organized by ART SPACE Association in collaboration with A2Z Art Gallery in Paris, Vietnam Cultural Center in France, Vietnam Bretagne Sud Association and Vietinter Foods, to arouse love for national culture and promote creativity of children through the lens of painting.
