This is the first time after the merger of Lam Dong province that the association has organized the program “Lighting Up the Future” to award scholarships to orphaned students.

Mr. Luc added that the nearly 1 billion VND scholarship was contributed by members and benefactors at home and abroad, of which the largest amount of 480 million VND was sponsored by 3 members of Dr. Tran Thi Lam Anh's family (from Da Lat living in the UK). "At first, we only wished to help these 4 orphaned students with 100 million VND each, but now the amount has exceeded our expectations," Mr. Luc shared.

Mr. Tran Bao Long, Director of SOS Children's Village Da Lat, added that the four new students who received the Light Up the Future scholarship are orphans or children with especially difficult circumstances who have been raised at SOS Children's Village Da Lat since childhood. Now entering the university threshold, they do not have the financial means to think that their dreams will be put to an end, but fortunately, there are kind arms and flames of love to continue to support and help them light up the future.
