In the first 4 months of 2025, Hanoi's industrial production increased by 4.8%

It is estimated that in the first 4 months of 2025, the industrial production index (IIP) in Hanoi will increase by 4.8% over the same period in 2024.

According to the Hanoi Statistical Office, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 4.8%; electricity production and distribution increased by 5%; water supply and waste and wastewater treatment increased by 3.8%; mining decreased by 9.2% compared to the same period in 2024.

In the first 4 months of this year, some processing and manufacturing industries achieved high growth rates compared to the same period last year, such as: Production of non-metallic mineral products increased by 17.1%; production of motor vehicles increased by 15.3%; textiles increased by 15.2%; production of leather and related products increased by 14.8%; production of metals increased by 8.5%; production of other machinery and equipment increased by 34.1%.

In addition, some industries decreased compared to the same period, including paper and paper product production down 4.3%; vehicle production down 4%; printing and copying of records down 1.2%; and bed, wardrobe, table and chair production down 0.4%.

The number of workers working in industrial enterprises by the end of April 2025 increased by 0.4% compared to the end of the previous month and increased by 0.6% compared to the same period last year.
