400 booths participate in the 5th Southern Traditional Cake Festival

The 5th Southern Traditional Cake Festival in 2025 was opened by the People's Committee of Ca Mau City on the morning of April 27 at Tran Hung Dao Square, Ward 5, Ca Mau City.

The activity is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification Day April 30 and International Labor Day May 1.

The leaders performed the hand-laying ceremony to open the 5th Southern Traditional Cake Festival in 2025.

This year’s Southern Traditional Cake Festival takes place from April 26 to May 4, with the participation of 30 units from the Mekong Delta provinces, districts in the province and Ca Mau City; with a scale of over 400 booths displaying traditional cakes , OCOP products, images of Ca Mau tourism combined with commercial booths; organizing nightly art performances, folk games, etc.

The highlight of the festival is the promotion and demonstration of making traditional cakes with the theme “Fragrance of Ca Mau”, taking place at 10am on April 27 and 3pm on April 28 and 29; Traditional cake contest at 8am on April 30.

Also on this occasion, the People's Committee of Ca Mau City organized a Sports Festival to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day; International Labor Day 1/5, taking place from April 25 to May 4 with 5 competitions: football, volleyball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, gathering more than 1,000 athletes from units, enterprises, People's Committees of communes, wards, and people in the city.

The stalls are beautifully decorated, ready to serve people on the occasion of April 30 and May 1.
