The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that floods on the Red River in Hanoi will change slowly, with water levels above alert level 2 (from 10.5 m) to below alert level 3 (11.5 m).

Since September 12, the flood here continues to change slowly, fluctuating at alert level 2. Due to the rising and sustained flood, widespread flooding in riverside areas, outside the dikes of Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh, Tay Ho, Bac Tu Liem and Long Bien districts will continue for the next 2-3 days.

Floods on these rivers are changing slowly and remain at very high levels. Flooding will continue for the next 3 days in the districts of Chuong My, Ung Hoa, Phuc Tho, Son Tay, My Duc, Thanh Tri, Hoai Duc, Gia Lam, Dong Anh and Ha Dong.

Other rivers in Hanoi such as the Tich River, Ca Lo River, and Bui River also peaked last night with water levels above alert level 3.
