The Malaysian national team has just added five new naturalized players including Facundo Garces, Joao Figueiredo, Rodrigo Hogaldo, Jon Irazabal and Imanol Machuca to prepare for the Asian Cup qualifiers. All five have arrived in Malaysia and started training with the team under the guidance of coach Peter Cklamovski.
According to Transfermarkt, winger Imanol Machuca is the most valuable player with 2.5 million Euros (over 7.4 billion VND), becoming the most expensive star in the history of the Malaysian national team. Following him are striker Joao Figueiredo (2.1 million Euros) and center-back Facundo Garces (1.2 million Euros). The remaining two players, Rodrigo Hogaldo and Jon Irazabal, are worth less than 1 million Euros, 800,000 and 650,000 Euros respectively.

The presence of these five new players helps the total value of the Malaysian squad increase by 7.25 million Euros, bringing the total valuation to 15.33 million Euros, the highest milestone ever for this country's football.
Compared to other teams in the region at FIFA Days in March, the Vietnamese team was worth 6.08 million Euros, ranking 4th in Southeast Asia after Indonesia (36.53 million), Thailand (8.58 million) and Malaysia (7.15 million - before adding 5 new players).
Notably, Indonesian centre-back Mees Hilgers is valued at 9 million Euros, exceeding the value of each team in the region. However, he is currently injured and is unlikely to play against Bahrain.
In the Vietnamese team, Tuan Hai is the highest-valued player (400,000 Euros) due to Xuan Son's absence due to injury. Quang Hai and Tien Linh are both valued at 350,000 Euros, followed by Duy Manh (325,000 Euros) in the March squad. However, in the current training session, Jason Vinh Quang is holding the highest value at 500,000 Euros.
Malaysia and Vietnam will face each other on June 10 in Kuala Lumpur, in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
