5 Enterprises won the auction for sugar import quota in 2025

The auction results are the basis for the management agency to control sugar imports next year.

On the morning of October 20, the Council for the allocation of sugar import tariff quotas by auction in 2025 organized an auction according to Decision No. 2559 and 2560 of the Minister of Industry and Trade . As a result, 5 traders won the auction for a total of 100,000 tons of sugar out of the total import tariff quota announced in 2025 of 133,000 tons, with a total value of 225 billion VND. Specifically, the enterprises include: Vietnam Sugar Joint Stock Company, Lam Son Sugarcane Joint Stock Company, Thanh Thanh Cong - Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company, Agris Tay Ninh Joint Stock Company, AgriS Ninh Hoa Import-Export Joint Stock Company, each unit won the auction for 20,000 tons.

According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, the allocation of sugar import tariff quotas is an annual activity of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, aiming to implement international integration commitments and ensure the balance of supply and demand in the domestic market. The auction results are the basis for the management agency to manage sugar imports in the coming year, contributing to stabilizing the domestic market, ensuring the harmonious interests of the State, enterprises and consumers.
