5 students hospitalized after breakfast at national defense education center

(Dan Tri) - Some students experienced symptoms of stomachache and nausea after eating breakfast at the Center for National Defense and Security Education, Hue University.

On the evening of September 11, Huong Thuy Medical Center, Hue City Department of Health received 5 students from Hue University of Education with symptoms of suspected food poisoning.

Specialist Doctor Vo Phi Long, Director of Huong Thuy Medical Center, said the students were admitted to the hospital at noon and were discharged the same afternoon after their health stabilized.

According to initial information, at the time of the incident, all 5 students were studying military boarding at the National Defense and Security Education Center, Hue University (Phu Bai ward, Hue city).

After having breakfast at the Center, these students experienced stomachache and nausea and were taken to a medical facility for monitoring.

Hue University leaders said they will work with the Center for National Defense and Security Education to clarify the incident.
