"Reminds us to cherish the present..."
In a recent local education class for grade 12 (about Ho Chi Minh City) at Tay Thanh High School, to better understand the students' thoughts and feelings on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, the author of this article conducted a "pocket" survey.
The writer's suggestion for research is: "You are lucky to be born in peacetime. You have not experienced the pain and loss of war. But you have learned about the history of your nation and heard about the wars taking place in the world... Please express your thoughts on the value of peace on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification."

The survey results showed many similar opinions, that is, most students feel happy and lucky to live in a peaceful and stable environment. They sympathize with the pain of war and the division of the country in the past. And do not forget to remember the merits of those who shed blood so that the country can have today's day of independence and unity.
Many students' thoughts show maturity in thinking, perception and emotion. For example, student Bao Ngan (class 12A7) wrote: "The reunification of the country in 1975 is a sacred historical milestone for the Vietnamese people. For me, the value of this event lies not only in the reunification of the country, but also in the symbol of the desire for peace, patriotism and indomitable spirit of a nation after many years of war, division and pain."
Tran Minh Nhat, a student of class 12A3, shared: "Born and raised in peace, I am fortunate not to have to experience the pain and loss that my fathers and grandfathers endured during the war. Through books, movies and stories from my grandparents, I can somewhat imagine the brutality of war." "The sacrifices and losses in war remind us to cherish the present," Minh Nhat added.
Modeling a modern, civilized city
Meanwhile, a group of 15 students from class 12A19, also from Tay Thanh High School, had their own way of welcoming the grand ceremony, which was to create products to model the appearance of a modern, civilized city after 50 years of unification and in the future.
My Nhat (class 12A19), group leader, said: "Based on the model, people can easily see the clear separation of two areas with two different functions. The area with modern technology applications (on the right side of the picture) represents industrial parks and technology centers - where economic activities take place and are under the command of the control center. This place will also focus on investing in developing green energy sources, specifically solar energy. This source of electricity not only supplies electricity to the on-site area but also meets the needs of residential areas. This area is built according to the design of high-rise buildings to save land for the city, making it easier for the government and the state to invest and develop public services for the people."

In addition, technology is also highly applied: robots in economic and social activities (entertainment, tree care, waste classification). "In the future, friendly means of transport will be developed: elevated train systems (symbolizing speed, modernity and environmental protection), personal means of transport (cars) using entirely green energy and green energy boat systems to exploit the potential of rivers and attract tourism", My Nhat added.
