The Prime Minister requested localities to recruit the right and sufficient teachers according to the assigned number of positions.

The Prime Minister has just issued an official dispatch requesting the Ministry of Education and Training to coordinate with the Ministry of Home Affairs to review and urge the recruitment of teachers in localities to ensure that all assigned positions are recruited.

Accordingly, the Prime Minister requested to continue reviewing and proposing to competent authorities to supplement the number of preschool and general education teachers that are still lacking compared to the prescribed norms of theeducation sector; to research and have appropriate and effective solutions to overcome the shortage of teachers, ensuring 2 teaching sessions/day; not to let the arrangement and organization of the apparatus lead to a shortage of teachers, affecting the learning of students.

Localities need to have synchronous and effective solutions to recruit the right and sufficient teachers according to the assigned number of positions; absolutely do not let the situation of having positions but not recruiting happen; in case of teacher shortage, it is necessary to promptly sign teaching contracts according to regulations to supplement; consider and prioritize recruiting or signing contracts with teachers who have taught under contracts at educational institutions, if they meet professional requirements and comply with regulations.

During the implementation process, if problems arise beyond their authority, localities need to proactively report and propose to competent authorities for consideration and resolution.

In addition, the locality needs to continue to develop and improve the quality of the teaching staff to meet the needs of implementing the new preschool and general education program; research mechanisms and policies to attract teachers to work and stay long-term in the locality.
